Technical Support Engineer
Full Time 42 hours per week (4 days 4 nights shift rotation)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Support Engineer to join our team within the Civil Aerospace division in Derby.

What you will be doing:
As a Technical Support Engineer you will drive the execution of the V&V IT strategy by delivering digital solutions that enhance business performance and meet user needs including: fixing, improving and / or transforming current digital capability in accordance with the V&V IT systems roadmap.
- Capture and maintain customer requirements throughout the solution lifecycle
- Develop and evaluate system concepts using systems engineering methods
- Identify and mitigate risks through RRMS processes
- Define system architecture and solutions aligned with business objectives
- Lead design reviews with Technical Councils and High-Spots
- Create and manage system verification plans
- Coordinate system implementation and modifications to meet customer goals
- Collaborate with testing teams and engineers to support product validation
- Monitor system health and schedule maintenance activities
- Investigate and resolve system issues affecting test operations
- Track system obsolescence and contribute to improvement planning

In addition, the following role specific skills are preferred
- Degree level in Engineering or equivalent
- Experience in relevant domain is preferred but not essential
- Good communication, presentation skills and an ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment
- An understanding in calibration and metrology to support Rolls Royce in engine testing,
